Our home away from home this weekend is the beautiful Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. They are providing us with the special room rate of $119 per night double occupancy (triples and quads will be slightly higher). Don’t be left out! Thursday Night Kick-Off Dance

Join us at the hotel on Thursday evening July 12th for our traditional event kickoff party. You’ll enjoy lots open dancing to a variety of great music! We’ll be featuring the Bushwhackers Pattern Dance Challenge and Duke’s Line Dance Challenge Finals - an event you won’t want to miss. Also, for you early bird line dancers out there, The Line Dance room will be open. Admission is $10 at the door (this dance is INCLUDED with your weekend pass!).

Friday Night FREE Public Workshops
No event pass required. If you’ve never been to a dance event before, now is your chance to check one out risk free! Join us on Friday evening for a friendly look at what couples and line dancing is all about. Three hours of beginning level dance instruction in Country Two Step, West Coast Swing, and Line Dance will be offered FREE to the public starting Friday at 6:00p.m. This is one social occasion you won’t want to miss. Bring your friends, learn together then spend the evening dancing the night away!

Weekend Workshops
Couples Instruction featuring Mario Robau, Jason Wayne & Yvonne Benevidez-Wayne, Nick Jay, Joanna Meinl, Glenn & Sue Cravalho, Mike Eads, Doug Davidson & Annick Paquet, Craig Johnson & Joan Lundahl, Michael Kielbasa, Michelle Kinkaid, Aaron & Tiffany Lorenzen, Chris & Michelle Small, Jenica Krolicki-Zimmer, and more.
Line Dance Instruction featuring Michelle Perron, Joyce Mattson and more to be confirmed, as well as DJ extraordinaire Brian Bull.
Couples Workshops begin at 10:00 am Friday and continue through Sunday afternoon. A large variety of classes will be offered for all levels of dance focusing on fun social dance moves, lead and follow, technique, music interpretation, and more. The schedule will be available in mid June. SPECIAL NOTE: All Star workshops are INCLUDED with the Everything Pass and the All-Star Pass. Individuals holding an Adult Weekend Pass, Line Dance Weekend Pass, Saturday Pass or Sunday Pass may purchase any All-Star Workshop for $8 per class at the event.
Couples All Star Workshops
will be taught on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday by our Master level professionals who specialize in the latest and most innovative patterns, techniques, and dances.
Line Dance Workshops start at 12:30 pm Friday and are all included with your 3-day weekend or 1-day pass purchase.
Beginning Level Workshops
will be available throughout the weekend starting Friday at 6pm if you are just starting out or would like to brush up on your basics. Taught by top ranked national and local instructors, these classes are sure to get your feet moving in the right direction.

All-Star Workshops on DVD
All-Star Workshop DVD’s will be available for purchase at the event. We’ll have separate DVD’s Country and Swing classes.

Pro-Am Jack & Jill and Pro-Am Swing
Here’s your chance to meet our judges and teachers “up close and personal”. Plan to take part in our informal Pro-Am Jack and Jill contest on Friday night. You can compete with the pros in two step and west coast swing. Or, grab your favorite Pro on Sunday and strut your stuff to some great west coast swing music. Strictly Swing rules apply.

Pattern Dance Challenge
Bushwhackers and Duke’s will once again be sponsoring a dance competitions geared especially toward the social dancer. The preliminary rounds for couples will be held at Bushwhackers in the Cowboy Cha Cha, Sweetheart Schottische, and Horseshoe; the line dances Tush Push, Watermelon Crawl and Boot-Scootin’ Boogie will be held at Duke’s. The finals of each contest will be held at our pre-event dance party on July 12th. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top couple and line dancer. Saturday Theme Party
We’re going “Back to the 80’s”! This bodacious party will totally bring you back in time to the decade of synthesized music, video games and acid washed denim! You had legwarmers in every possible color, shoulder pads and jelly shoes, and posters of Madonna on your bedroom walls. Trapper Keepers could be found in every locker in school, along with cassette tapes for your Walkman. It seemed the world had gone neon, your mom had a perm and all your friends wore friendship bracelets. You made it through the 80's, and had the big hair to prove it. It’ll be a ‘Party to the MAX’ and you won’t want to miss it!

Saturday Night Dinner Show
This year we’re again offering a spectacular Saturday night dinner show featuring some of our very talented staff and a few surprises. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Respond early for the best seats. If you and your friends would like to share a table, you MUST purchase ALL your tickets at the same time. Table assignments will be made in the order in which reservations are received. We’ll do our best to accommodate your requests!

Saturday Night Swing Social...
Join us on Saturday night at 10 pm in the Swing Room for our special swing party sponsored by and hosted by the Portland Swing Dance Club. Then join us at around 1:00am as we move on over to the Main Ballroom for some great late night dancing. Chris Jones will be spinning the tunes and keeping you dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

Sunday Buffet & Wrap Up Party
A New York Deli buffet will be served following the awards ceremony. The Wrap up Party will start at the same time in the St. Helen’s room featuring your favorite country, swing and line dance music. Now’s the time to eat, socialize, kick back and just relax
.
