To those who attended, THANK YOU so, so much! Our 25th Anniversary event went off without a hitch - truly an amazing weekend. We are inspired and awed by the support we received this year from the local dance community and all of the Northwest area swing clubs. The energy in all the ballrooms throughout the weekend was truly infectious, warm and welcoming. We’d also like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our volunteer staff – you were wonderful and we absolutely couldn’t do what we do without the help of all of you. To our Dance Pros – THANK YOU for taking good care of our people and giving them the benefit of your knowledge - you were all amazing as usual. And to our Event Staff, THANK YOU for another award winning performance – you are appreciated more than you know.
Thanks to your participation, the competitions throughout the weekend were HOT, HOT, HOT! In every division, the numbers were up significantly this year. It was a bit challenging to hold to our timelines given the larger divisions, but all in all we managed pretty well, and we just couldn’t be happier that so many of you came to enjoy the fun of formal and social competition. We’d like to give a special shout-out to all the kids who participated this year. It was so FUN to see the young ones compete…they are future of our sport.
We had great fun putting together the Hollywood themed show for you on Saturday night and hope you all enjoyed it. Many of you really got into the spirit of the occasion and we really enjoy seeing everyone having so much fun. However, we still can’t figure out how the Paparazzi found out about it…
THANK YOU Portland Swing Dance Club for your outstanding work on the swing room this year and thanks again for being such generous sponsors. The Swing Room rocked all weekend long thanks in part to all your efforts. THANKS also to the local and regional clubs that came in force, brought their banners and made so much noise the entire weekend. Oh how we LOVE it!
We’d like to remind everyone that Workshop DVD’s and a Dinner Show DVD are available for purchase – lots of great information and quality entertainment. In addition, we would very much appreciate you filling in and sending us the 2011 Event Evaluation form so we know what you like, what you didn’t like, and what we could improve upon for next year – you opinion matters to us!
